2.1 No Internet Permission
The Dopamine Interceptor Android app does not include the android.permission.INTERNET declaration in its AndroidManifest.xml. This provides a hardware and operating-system enforced barrier: the app is physically incapable of transmitting telemetry, behavioral metrics, or user logs to remote servers.
2.2 Use of AccessibilityService API
To introduce intentional conscious friction when an addictive application is tapped, Dopamine Interceptor utilizes the native Android AccessibilityService.
Guaranteed Restrictions:
• The service solely listens for package launch events (TYPE_WINDOW_STATE_CHANGED) to display the breathing pause screen.
• It does NOT inspect or read screen text, user chats, photos, videos, or web browsing sessions.
• It does NOT log or record keyboard entries, passwords, or personal credentials.
• All trigger statistics and saved screen-time metrics remain strictly isolated inside encrypted local SQLite / DataStore storage on your Android device.
